One of the most iconic things you can see in a tour of Australia’s Red Centre is World Heritage listed Uluru, or Ayers Rock. Whether you’re watching the sunset at dusk or rising early to see first light pour over the stunning desert landscape, there’s no escaping this place’s magic.VIEW DETAILS
Voyages Indigenous Tourism Day Tours
Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is owned by the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) and manages tourism and resorts on their behalf. With a strong commitment to social responsibility, all profits from our business activities go towards supporting Indigenous training and employment across Australia.
Voyages offers experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre. Voyages is focused on providing guests with enriching, memorable experiences, which they would not be able to enjoy anywhere else in Australia.
We’re committed to building and sustaining an Indigenous workforce through training, employment and economic development. Our aim is to train and develop more Indigenous staff, enabling them to secure employment in the hospitality industry across Australia. In turn, our guests will enjoy a more “authentic” Indigenous Australian experience.
Field of Light Pass
As darkness falls and Uluru is thrown into silhouette, Field of Light illuminates. As far as the eye can see gentle rhythms of colour light up the desert. Overwhelming in size, covering more than seven football fields, it invites immersion in its fantasy garden of 50,000 spindles of light, the stems breathing and swaying through a sympathetic desert spectrum of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white.
Sounds of Silence
Your Sounds of Silence experience begins with canapés and chilled sparkling wine served on a viewing platform overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Our attentive staff will keep your glass full with a quality selection of Australian wine and beer while first course is served. As the night sky twinkles to life, help yourself to a bush tucker inspired buffet that incorporates native bush ingredients such as crocodile, kangaroo, barramundi and quandong. Vegetarian and other dietary options available with prior notice. After dinner, sit back and listen to our resident star talker decode the southern night sky.
A Night of Field of Light
This exclusive dining experience combines the award-winning ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner under the outback sky with the once-in-a-lifetime Field of Light art installation. With magnificent views of Uluru at sunset, a three-course bush tucker menu, premium selection of Australian wines and beers, fascinating star talk and a self-guided walk through the Field of Light art installation, your ‘A Night at Field of Light’ experience is complete.
The contrast between the spectacular natural setting and the world-class gastronomic adventure on your plate is simply awe-inspiring. This is so much more than a dining experience; it's a moment in time remembered forever. Every course of this exclusive four-course dinner is infused with ancient native herbs and spices. Taste items such as pressed wallaby with fermented quandong as an entree, while main course could be pan roasted toothfish with coastal greens, desert oak and fermented muntries. Desert is a chocolate taste sensation with Davidson plum, lemon myrtle and quandong. Each dish carefully paired with premium Australian wine.
