The Sharpe Family have been cruising Lake Argyle since the lake first filled in 1973. For over 47 years we have called this amazing place home. Come and share a lifetime of experience through our amazing boat cruises, tours and activities. Cruise Lake Argyle aboard our custom-built tour vessel “KIMBERLEY DURACK” which has been named in honour of the man who’s ideas founded the incredible Ord River Irrigation Scheme which created Lake Argyle.

Lake Argyle Tours and Boat Cruises are proudly owned and operated by the Sharpe family, they have called Lake Argyle home since the Dam first filled in 1973. We will take you on an informative journey of the history and development of Lake Argyle and the Ord River Scheme. Our purpose-built vessel, “KIMBERLEY DURACK” allows you to get up close and personal with the resident birdlife, rock wallabies, crocodiles, wallaroos and much more. Explore the spectacular waterway and over 90 unique islands that make up this truly unique Jewel of the Kimberley.
Kimberley Sunset Explorer Cruise
Explores the rugged northern end of Lake Argyle onboard the Kimberley Durack, with informative commentary on the natural history and development of Lake Argyle and the Ord River Irrigation System. The lake is home to a wide range of wildlife and you can see rock wallabies, crocodiles, wallaroos and prolific birdlife. As the sun begins to set you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the tranquil waters of the ‘Bay of Islands’. As the sun sets we serve a cheese platter, dips and crackers with complimentary beer, wine and soft drink, before heading home at dusk.
Lake Argyle Island Explorer Lunch Cruise
We cruise to the northern reaches of Lake Argyle exploring the many bays and inlets that make this immense body of water so unique. Wallabies, Wallaroos, Fish Feeding, Birdlife and Freshwater Crocodiles are just part of the Lake Argyle Family whom you may meet. Stop at a remote island beach for a swim in the pristine waters while our crew prepare your buffet lunch. Lunch includes a taste of the freshly caught 'Lake Argyle Silver Cobbler' fish cooked on the BBQ, cold meats, salads, fresh fruit and complimentary beer, wine & soft drinks.
Lake Argyle & Ord River Full Day Tour
Travel by coach from Kununurra for 70kms through the untamed landscape of the magnificent Carr Boyd Ranges. Your experienced tour guide will take you on a ground tour of the historic Durack Family Argyle Downs Homestead Museum. Visit Lake Argyle Resort to see their stunning infinity pool. Join a cruise on the Kimberley Durack to explore Lake Argyle with informative commentary on the natural history and development of the Ord River Irrigation System. A highlight is a stop on one of the many islands on the lake for lunch and a swim. View a wide range of wildlife including crocodiles, rock wallabies and prolific birdlife. Return to Kununurra with Triple J Cruises along the Ord River, via the spectacular scenery of Carlton Gorge and Lake Kununurra.
