Josef Chromy Wines is named after its founder octogenarian Josef Chromy. Renowned in the Tasmanian food and wine industry, he has a remarkable life story of coming to Australian from Europe in the 1950s with nothing. You’ll see Joe out inspecting the vineyard and working with the winemaking team, who work with him to realise his vision of creating wine, food and an experience of exceptional quality.
In just six years, Josef Chromy Wines has amassed more than 15 trophies and 260 medals (including 22 gold) at wine shows, making it one of the most successful launches in the history of the Tasmanian wine industry and is regularly named as one of the Top Cellar Doors of Australia by specialist publications Gourmet Traveller Wine and Australia’s Wine Business Magazine.
