Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge
There is nothing quite like sitting around a camp fire under the vast outback sky after a big day exploring!
Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge have a special restricted license to operate facilities within the Purnululu National Park World Heritage Area. The Bungle Bungle Bushcamp has strict guidelines to adhere to in it's cooperation with the Department of Environment and Conservation (D.E.C). Our Bathroom waste water is environmentally managed and we would appreciate your help in reducing quantities and thus the impact on our fragile environment.
The camp has generated power which we may only run between 7am and 9pm. The individual cabin lighting, however, is powered by 12V battery and is accessible throughout the night. Bringing a torch along can help with making your way around the camp after lights out. We also suggest bringing some warm clothes with you as it is always a few degrees cooler at night in the Bungles than in town.
The Bushcamp has evolved and now includes twenty double hard-walled ensuite cabins and ten twin-share safari tents with shared facilities. Staying at the Bushcamp means that visitors can enjoy hot showers, flushing toilets, indoor and outdoor dining facilities and a rustic camp fire area. This unique accommodation is not restricted to those participating in touring packages; it is also available to the self-drive market who make their own way into the national park via 4WD vehicle.
The Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge can accommodate 60 guests and three meals per day are prepared in the on-site kitchen, a 'restaurant' with a difference! Also on offer is a fully licensed bar that has a range of alcoholic beverages and soft drink available.
Uniquely, in 2014, a below ground pool has been installed at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge - adding yet another unique experience for visitors, a 60,000 litre water tank has been constructed so that no ground water will be used, only rain water to fill and maintain the pools operation.
