Wilpena Pound Resort is the only accommodation located within the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park, 430km north of Adelaide. This extraordinary landscape is 800 million years old and has been home to Adnyamathanha people for tens of thousands of years. Our hotel rooms are suitable for couples or families, and sleep from 2 to 6 people. Our larger deluxe rooms have kitchenettes should you wish to self cater.
Our Ikara ‘glamping’ safari tents are secluded and cosy for couples, and there are also two family tents which sleep 4 people.

There is so much to experience in the Ikara Flinders Ranges. From guided walking tours with a local Adnyamathanha guide, to 4WD tours into outback gorges, and our popular Sunset Tour which will have you enjoying bubbles and canapes while you watch the sky change colours as the sun sets over Wilpena Pound and the Ikara Flinders Ranges. Scenic Flights are definitely the best way to appreciate the grandeur of the surrounding area. Get a bird’s eye view of the gigantic caldera like Wilpena Pound, and the majestic Ikara Flinders Ranges as they stretch into the distance like a gigantic natural backbone.

Glamping at Wilpena Pound Resort
Our 2 person Ikara safari tents are suitable for singles or couples wanting a luxury 'glamping' getaway. Each tent has a modern ensuite bathroom, a luxe King bed, reverse cycle air conditioning and it's own private deck and fire pit.
Our two family safari tents sleep up to 4 people and have all the luxuries of the couples tents, with an annex added for the extra people.
Package is twin share and includes 2 nights accommodation, full hot and cold breakfast selection & 3 course meal in the Resort restaurant, half day guided tour of Wilpena Pound including morning or afternoon tea and a 20 minute scenic flight over Wilpena Pound.
